Care Groups at Crossroads

At Crossroads we believe that one of the greatest gifts God has given us is experiencing life together.  It is hard, if not impossible, to get to know one another just by attending a worship service.  Smaller gatherings allow individuals to feel connected to others.

Care Groups are small groups of people who "do life together" by gathering to experience the Christian life.  Basically, all of our groups are Care Groups.  The majority of the group time may be spent in one of these areas: fellowship, service and ministry, or Bible study.   But for all groups, the ultimate goal is to encourage members to understand and live the Christian life.  These meet at various other times during the week, at the Crossroads campus or in various homes, usually once or twice a month.

In order to fulfill our mission as a church, we also have...

Ministry Groups - people serving together through a particular focus in the life of the church or in serving those in the community.  Here are some examples:

  • worship team - musicians who meet regularly for rehearsals and lead the congregation in worship.
  • service teams - people gathering together on an occasional basis to meet a specific need.  Most recently we have sent work teams to an inner city church to help with renovating facilities.
  • short-term missions trips - groups of people who cross cultural lines to meet real needs and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to others.

Occasional and Seasonal Groups - groups lasting just a few meetings, usually centered around a special interest or occasion.
