"Generations"
(Our theme for 2008/2009)

This year we are spending time thinking about Generations...
those who have gone before us (those we can learn from)
and those who will come after us (those we need to leave a legacy for).
Join us as we ponder several verses from the Bible in relation to
Generations at our Ladies' Events throughout this year.

Help support missions by visiting the Lydia's Workshop craft booths at two upcoming craft fairs:

November 21 & 22 - Friday and Saturday, Autumn Craft Fair at Monroe Community Hospital (435 E Henrietta Rd Rochester)

December 6, 2008 - Saturday, from 9AM to 4PM, Rochester Christian School will hold its annual Crafters' Bazaar (260 Embury Rd. Rochester)

At least 10% of the profits from these sales will be going to our church's mission efforts in Haiti.

What's coming up:

Soup and Bread Night November 8th at 6PM - watch for the sign-up sheet in the foyer! This one is so simple...sign up so we know how many are coming, bring a soup or bread and come to the church for some sweet "girl time" with other ladies and be sure to bring a friend!

Special Lydia's Workshop nights with a focus on something mothers and daughters can learn together (throughout the year, dates will be announced in church and on this site)

Christmas Breakfast (December 20th) - Give yourself a break from shopping and enjoy a special breakfast with the ladies at Lorraine's! More details as the date gets closer.

Movie Night (January 23rd) - Let's kick back with snacks and watch a movie together!

Chocolate Night (February or March)

Princess Night for young ladies (late winter/early spring) - Let's begin now to show the young ladies in our church (and their friends) how valued they are by their Father, The King.

Ladies' Night Out! (spring) - This is our biggest event of the year and always a lot of fun!

Mother's Day celebration (May)

Women of Faith Conference (June 5th and 6th) - A group of ladies (& their friends) will be heading into Rochester to enjoy this time together!

Our women also enjoy regular opportunities to spend time together and getting to know others through the following ongoing events:

We also have had several opportunities to get together through other special events held throughout the year (some happening this year, others in the future as we feel the need):
  • Bible study/book club
  • Christmas tea
  • Desserts
  • Special event nights which we dub "Ladies' Night Out!" (Reflections: Inside and Out, Garden Night, Princess Night)
