Upcoming Game Night: 11/23 6:30-9pm
The Crossroads Game Group is back just in time for the holidays. Come join us this Saturday, November 23 from 6:30-9pm for a night of gaming.
Sure we've got some new board games to try, but we're even more excited to get together and catch up with all of you. If you haven't attended before, drop by and get to know some new friends over a game or two.
Hope to see you all on Saturday night.
Of course, there will be many many more games on hand to try out and we're always open to suggestion or requests, so come on and suggest or request something.
We plan on playing a lot of the top rated games on Board Game Geek and then some. Here are a few examples of what we may be playing at any given game group event.

Archaeology: The Card Game Archaeology: The Card Game: Discover the lost treasures of Egypt and make your fortune! You are an archaeologist working the dig sites of the Egyptian desert. Search for the right pieces to complete torn parchments, broken pots and other priceless artifacts. Explore an ancient pyramid hoping to uncover a huge stash of treasure! Trade shrewdly at the local marketplace to increase the value of your collection. Sell your treasures to the museum at just the right time for maximum profit. But beware, the desert also has its dangers! A devastating sandstorm can throw your expedition into disarray, and cunning thieves lurk around the dig site ready to steal your prize discovery!
Aunt Millie's Millions Aunt Millie's Millions: Dear Aunt Millie left behind an estate worth millions. Are you one of her lucky heirs? In this hilarious party game, play the role of one of the colorful characters out to get Aunt Millie's fortune. Use speed, strategy and persuasion to collect the most coveted valuables. Will you get her vintage jukebox or get stuck with a rusty toilet? Claim the same item as another player and you must give the best sob story to convince the judge that you deserve it more! Whoever ends up with the most riches wins the game. Heir-splitting fun!
Bang! Bang! There's a new sheriff in town. Trouble is he can't tell a deputy from an outlaw. Who'll survive the showdown; the Outlaws, the Lawmen, or neither 'cause nobody's looking out for the Renegade?
Beep! Beep! Beep! Hurry grab the cards that match your piles before someone else grabs them. If you see three matching cards then beep the horn and grab two of them.
Beetlez Beetlez: Quick find lots of food. Don't get caught when the lights turn on. All players frantically flip cards all at the same time to find food cards in this crazy free for all.
Big John Big John: Kids, listen to Big John's gross sounds as you flush all your scuzzies down the toilet. OK I'll stop now.
Bohnanza Bohnanza: Can there be a good game about bean farming?!? YES! Bohnanza is a wild negotiation and trading game. Will someone convince you to trade that one cocoa bean for all of their coffee beans?
Carcassonne Carcassonne: A clever tile-laying game. The southern French city of Carcassonne is famous for its unique Roman and Medieval fortifications. The players develop the area around Carcassonne and deploy their followers on the roads, in the cities, in the cloisters and in the fields. The skill of the players to best develop the area will determine who is victorious.
Castle Panic Castle Panic: The forest is filled with all sorts of Monsters. They watched and waited as you built your Castle and trained your soldiers, but now they’ve gathered their army and are marching out of the woods. Can you work with your friends to defend your Castle against the horde, or will the Monsters tear down your Walls and destroy the precious Castle Towers? You will all win or lose together, but in the end only one player will be declared the Master Slayer!
Citadels Citadels: Complete your city first by playing all sorts of roles. Some are nice and some not so nice. Each player must play a different character and they change every turn. Will you enjoy the spoils of being the king this round? You can build your city faster with the architect? Or, will you play an assassin and eliminate someone from the round or take their money with the Thief? It's all up to you... and everyone else.
Cosmic Encounter Cosmic Encounter: A simple game of space conquest gone crazy because everyone is a different alien species and each can break the rules in different, sometimes chaotic, ways.
Dancing Eggs Dancing Eggs: Roll the dice. Bounce the eggs. Hold the egg somewhere uncomfortable for the rest of the game. Run around the table. Crow like a rooster. Don't drop the egg or the game is over.
Dominion Dominion: A card collecting game with a twist. You build up your deck throughout the game by using the cards you have. A great game of the year.
Duck, Duck, Bruce Duck, Duck, Bruce: Just one more card, "Duck". Okay maybe another, "Duck". One more, "Duck". One last card, "Bruce". Duck, Duck, Bruce is a good press your luck game for kids.
Dutch Blitz Dutch Blitz: A Vonderful Goot Family Card Game. Simple solitaire turns into a frenzied race to play cards as fast as you can, get rid of your cards, and beat the other players to the center piles.
Easy Come, Easy Go Easy Come, Easy Go: The Dicey Game of Changing Forces. Try your Luck! Win Fabulous Prizes with a simple roll of the dice. Win the game by holding on to your prizes as other players attempt to beat the odds and take them from you.
Fits Fits: This is what you get when you make Tetris into a great boardgame.
Formula D Formula D: Get ready to push your engine to its limit, to hug the curves in the tight corners, but also to keep up with your opponents to take advantage of the air flow and pass them to win... Taking risks and planning ahead are two qualities you'll need as a pilot if you want to stand on the highest step of the podium!
Forbidden Island Forbidden Island: Your team has just arrived on a beautiful island, but it's starting to sink. Fast! You have to work together to retrieve four ancient artifacts, and escape in the nick of time.
Gang of Four Gang of Four: This is an exciting card game of Cunning, Strategy and Power. The game's premise is simple - be the first to rid yourself of all your cards and ascend to supreme power. But beware - a strategic misstep may find you in a struggle to survive.
Get the Gem Get the Gem: Get the Gem is a hide-and-seek game that comes to life with your child's imagination. One player creates a trail of arrows past make-believe obstacles like rushing rivers, fallen logs, and boiling mud. The other players follow that path and act out an adventure on their way to hidden treasure.
Go Nuts! Go Nuts!: Take your cheeky chances on this quick playing dice game of nut gathering nuttiness. Pile up points by rolling the dice and adding up acorns, while avoiding any cars along the way. If you roll all squirrels, scurry to score as many nuts as you can before your opponents’ dogs chase you away! The player with the most points wins.
The Great Dalmuti The Great Dalmuti: Think of this as four square with cards. It is the game that never ends, but nobody wants it to either. Work your way up from being a lowly pion until you are the great Dalmuti and stay there as long as possible.
Gulo Gulo Gulo Gulo: ... means Wolverine. Each player plays one and tries to steal swamp vulture eggs in order to save the youngest wolverine from the swamp vulture's nest, or something like that. It really doesn't matter because it is fun for everyone and kids are often better at this dexterity game than grownups.
Hang Four Hang Four: Fetch a wave with champion surf dogs Kelly Slobber, Riptail, and Jeff Spicollie in this totally bone-dacious card game. Get the most dogs on surfboards by cashing in sand dollars to retrieve cards. Roll over to the Dog Shack for a chance at collaring another player’s cards. But watch out, greedy gulls may snatch your cash or a monster wave might cause a major wipe out! The player with the most complete surfboards is the top dog.
Igloo Pop Igloo Pop: A crazy kids game of igloos, fish, an ice giant, and the silliest back story ever. Can you shake the igloos to guess how many fish are inside?
Incan Gold Incan Gold: Will you stay in the temple for more gold, or get out before the next trap gets you?

It will require clever maneuvering and selective positioning to be in the right place at the right time to achieve the crown! Now improved with the all new toilet expansion!
Loot Loot: Send out your pirates to attack the ships. The bigger the ships the bigger the gold, but make sure your the bigger pirate or you'll lose.

Choose from several fantasy races and different special abilities to conquer small world in new ways every game.
